If you are considering stepping up to the Certified Wine Educator credential, this session is for you! We’ll discuss the exam itself (multiple choice, essay, and tasting portions) as well as the resources available to students for study and skills practice. You’ll also have a chance to ask any questions that have been weighing on your mind. If you are considering whether the CWE is your next step (or just want to know more about the process), this 60-minute session is for you!

Saturday April 12th, 11:00am CST: Living History—The Rums and Stills of Guyana presented by Ben Coffelt, CSE, CWE. The past informs the present and while that is true for all spirit categories, it is perhaps most true in Guyanese rum. Guyana embraces a rum making tradition going back centuries. These practices, methods, materials, and even equipment directly shape the rum of today. Join Ben Coffelt as we investigate the history behind the rums, the centuries-old wooden stills, and unique approach that makes Guyana one of the most distinctive rum producers.
