2026 Webinar Schedule

Here is our webinar schedule for the next few months.  Please note that we will be adding sessions as needed, so check back frequently to keep advised of all that we have going on! All times stated are in Central Time.

March 2026:

  • Saturday, March 21, 10:00 am central time. The Low-down on Low Alcohol with Ben Coffelt, CSE, CWE. Consumers and guests continue to show a growing preference for low and no-alcohol beverage options in restaurants and at the store. What is driving this category? What can restaurants and suppliers do to help meet this need? We’ll analyze the various motivations and trends that might be driving consumer behavior, profile who the typical low/no-alcohol consumer is, highlight several ways the beverage industry is responding, and look at how strong the trend may be.

If Cover graphicyou are currently pursuing the CSW Certification or considering the CSW as your next stage of professional development, this one-hour session is for you! This online workshop will cover all aspects of the CSW, including what the test covers, how difficult the test is, what type of questions to expect, the resources available to students, and how long SWE recommends for study before sitting the exam.

If you are considering stepping up to the Certified Wine Educator credential, this session is for you! We’ll discuss the exam itself (multiple choice, essay, and tasting portions) as well as the resources available to students for study and skills practice. You’ll also have a chance to ask any questions that have been weighing on your mind. If you are considering whether the CWE is your next step (or just want to know more about the process), this 60-minute session is for you!

  • Saturday, April 25, 10:00 am central time. Mount Etna and Beyond—the Wines of Sicily (part one). For more than 2,500 years, the island of Sicily has been a significant center of wine production in the Mediterranean. From the slopes of Mount Etna to the coastal plains, Sicily produces a range of wines—from dry to sweet and everything in between—that prove to be both ancient and timeless…and consistently delicious! This session (the first of two) will focus on the wines produced in the eastern part of the island, including those of the Mount Etna, Faro, Noto, and Cerasuolo di Vittoria appellations. Join Jane A. Nickles, SWE’s Director of Education and Certification, on a one-hour tour of the wines of Eastern Sicily.
